General Requirements

This section sets out FTSE's requirements in relation to the use and presentation of the FTSE trade marks and should be complied with at all times.

Presentation of the FTSE trademarks

  • The trade mark symbol "®" should immediately follow the marks: "FTSE", "FT-SE", "Footsie", "All-Share", "All-Small", "All-World", "techMARK", "Eurotop", "Ebloc", "Euromid", "eTX", "Fledgling" and "FTSE4Good" when used in any literature or electronic pages/screens displays.
  • There should always be a space between the "FTSE" symbol and index name or number. For example; Correct FTSE® 100 Incorrect FTSE®100
  • Do not abbreviate the FTSE trademarks. For example, FTSE 100 should never be referred to as FT 100 in any literature or electronic pages/screens displays.

Branding and use of FTSE's trade marks

  • It is important that there is no implication that a third party product is produced, endorsed or supported by FTSE or its licensors. The FTSE trade marks should not be combined or placed with a third party's trade mark or product name without the prior written agreement of FTSE. In addition, no products should be marketed under a name which is confusingly similar to any FTSE trade mark or product name.
  • Internet sites should not have titles that begin with or incorporate "FTSE®" unless licensed by FTSE. Internet sites should only use the FTSE logo when agreed in writing by FTSE.

Use of the FTSE Logo

  • The use of the FTSE logo is only permitted where written consent has been obtained from FTSE.
