Effective 30 November 2009, FTSE has enhanced its real time index calculation service for select FTSE blue chip indices with corresponding total return (TRI) indices, which are now available on a streaming, intra-second basis through real time market data vendors and other trading platforms. FTSE's enhanced real time service provides users access to the fastest index calculations for 88 FTSE indices and the broadest range of real time total return index data. The streaming and total return index upgrade complements the broad range of real time equity (international and domestic) and bond indices available from FTSE. Brokers and fund managers use the indices for market analysis and creating investment products that service their clients and generate new revenue streams.
