The FTSE TOBAM Maximum Diversification Index Series, launched in association with TOBAM, is based on a patented mathematical definition of diversification, the Diversification Ratio, providing investors with the most diversified portfolio possible for any given universe of stocks. The index series consists of 5 regional indices and 3 single-country indices.

Index constituents are weighted in order to equally weight the risk contribution of each effective risk factor, as opposed to a market capitalization basis.
The FTSE TOBAM Maximum Diversification Index Series uses the FTSE All-World Index Series, the benchmark of choice for international investors, as its base universe.
