Index Rules

FTSE publishes comprehensive index rules and calculation methodology to support all indices. They are maintained by FTSE Committee and any changes are widely publicised.

Index rules should be read in conjunction with supporting FTSE notices (please click here ). These notices advise of advance changes in index methodology, which may not be reflected in index rules until the change effective date. The notices may also communicate revisions in index treatment in the period up to a rule change.

FTSE Group and TWSE publish comprehensive index rules, which are applied to all listed companies on the Taiwan Stock Exchange to define the Taiwan regional universe. By using these index rules, you can predict how FTSE and TWSE will deal with corporate actions and other changes to indices. This ensures the index remains transparent and keeps down the cost of managing funds and products based on them.

The index rules are maintained by the FTSE TWSE Taiwan Index Series Committee and any changes are widely publicised with ample notification to the market.
