FTSE Indices for Indian Investors

The FTSE UK Index Series is designed to represent the performance of companies listed on the London Stock Exchange, providing investors with a comprehensive and complementary set of indices that measure the performance of all capital and industry segments of the UK equity market.

FTSE 100 Index

The FTSE 100 Index is one of the world’s most recognised indices and accounts for 7.8% of the world’s equity market capitalisation. It represents the performance of the 100 largest blue chip companies listed on the London Stock Exchange, which meet the FTSE’s size and liquidity screening.

The index represents approximately 85.2% of the UK’s market and is currently used as the basis for a wealth of financial products available on the London Stock Exchange, National Stock Exchange of India and others institutions globally.

FTSE RAFI India 50 Index

The FTSE RAFI India 50 Index comprises the 50 companies with the largest RAFI fundamental scores selected from the constituents of the FTSE India All Cap Index. The index has been designed specifically for domestic Indian investors, and is subject to being capped on a quarterly basis where constituents will be limited to a 10% weighting and industry weights limited to 40%.
