If you wish to use FTSE data in your publication, please contact media@ftse.com for more information.
FTSE indices are available for a range of asset classes and world markets. In total, over 120,000 indices are calculated every day, ranging from the well-known FTSE 100, to indices covering corporate bonds, hedge funds, real estate, emerging & frontier markets and even niche indices covering Shariah law and stock exchanges.
FTSE also calculates indices that measure non-financial as well as financial risk. The FTSE4Good index, launched in July 2001, is recognized as the global measure for responsible investment.
With all of these options it can be difficult to know what indices are available, as well as to understand which index does what, in order to make best use of them. This guide aims to provide an introduction to FTSE, its portfolio of indices and market data and ways in which these can be used by the media to support editorial and other market data content.
