Index Rules
FTSE and NASDAQ have created a comprehensive set of Ground Rules and calculation methodology to support these indices. They are managed in conjunction with an Advisory Committee that will be set up during 2005.
By using these Ground Rules, you can predict how FTSE and NASDAQ will deal with corporate actions and other changes to indices. This ensures the indices are transparent and keeps down the cost of managing funds and products based on them.
