The FTSE Divest-Invest Index Series is designed to combine fossil fuel divestment with thematic investment in low carbon and green solutions. By excluding companies from certain fossil fuel sectors and replacing them with companies that provide products that are helping to enable to the transition to green economy, the indices provide the basis for investing according to “divest-invest” principles.
Data is sourced from FTSE Russell’s Green Revenues model and is designed to capture changes in the revenue mix of companies as their business models shift to the delivery of goods, products and services that enable adaptation to, mitigation of or remediation of the impacts of climate change, resource depletion and environmental erosion.
