Following the placing of 1,070,000,000 shares held by BOC Hong Kong (BVI) to independent investors, FTSE announces the following changes:

INDEX	CHANGE	EFFECTIVE FROM START OF TRADING
FTSE All-World Index	BOC Hong Kong (Holdings) (Hong Kong, 6536112) will remain in the index with an unchanged shares in issue total of 10,572,780,266 and an increased investability weighting of 40%.	24 December 2003
FTSE World Index Ex-Multinationals	BOC Hong Kong (Holdings) will be treated as above.	24 December 2003
FTSE Global Sector - Banks	BOC Hong Kong (Holdings) will be treated as above.	24 December 2003
FTSE Global Style	BOC Hong Kong (Holdings) will be treated as above.	24 December 2003
