Following the completion of the merger of Fineco S.p.A. (Italy) into Capitalia S.p.A. (Italy) and subject to the commencement of trading of the new Capitalia shares on 2 January 2006, FTSE and Euronext announce the following changes:

INDEX	CHANGE	EFFECTIVE FROM START OF TRADING
FTSEurofirst 300 Index	Capitalia S.p.A. (Italy, 7154609) will remain in the index with an increased shares in issue total of 2,586,176,835 and an unchanged investability weighting of 75%.	3 January 2006
