Ground Rule Change - Thailand constituents

FTSE announces a change to the Thailand eligible securities for the FTSE/ASEAN 40 Index. This change will become effective after close of business 15 September 2006 ie effective from start of trading on 18 September 2006.

The new index rule is as follows:

4.8. Thailand companies that are selected for inclusion in the FTSE/ASEAN 40 Index will be priced off the main board and may therefore have a different line of stock than that is included in the FTSE/ASEAN Index and FTSE All-World Index.
