Zinifex (Australia) : Deletion
Changes In FTSE Indices

13 June 2008


Subject to the court approval of the merger between Zinfex (Australia, constituent) and Oxiana (Australia, constituent), FTSE announces the following changes:

INDEX CHANGE EFFECTIVE FROM
START OF TRADING
FTSE All-World Index Zinifex (Australia, B00G2C3) will be deleted from the index.

Oxiana (Australia, 6397825) will remain in the index with an unchanged shares in issue total of 1,544,227,293 and an unchanged investability weighting of 100%.

Oxiana New (Australia, B39YMC9) will be added to the GEIS Large Cap index with a shares in issue total of 1,554,756,418 and an investability weighting of 100%

FTSE Multinationals Zinifex will be deleted from the index. 23 June 2008
FTSE World Index Ex-Multinationals Oxiana will remain in the index as detailed above.

Oxiana New will be added to the index as detailed above

FTSE Global Style Index Zinifex will be deleted from the index.

Oxiana will remain in the index as detailed above.

Oxiana New will be added to the index as detailed above

FTSE Global Islamic Index Zinifex will be deleted from the index.

Oxiana will be promoted from the GEIS Mid Cap Index to the GEIS Large Cap Index.

Please note that Oxiana New's ICB Classification will be 1775, (General Mining).

A subsequent technical notice will be released once the shares trading on a deferred settlement basis (Oxiana New) have been assimilated into the ordinary shares (Oxiana).
