Following the receipt of updated share information for Mapfre (Spain, constituent), resulting in a market capitalisation change greater than USD 2bn, FTSE and Euronext announce the following changes:

INDEX	CHANGE	EFFECTIVE FROM START OF TRADING
FTSEurofirst 300 Index	Mapfre (Spain, B1G40S0) will remain in the index with an increased shares in issue total of 2,676,852,000 and an unchanged investability weighting of 30%.	1 August 2008
