Further to the FTSE notice released on 14 April 2011 and in conjunction with the initial public offering timetable for Glencore International PLC, changes to FTSE indices are expected to be processed as follows:
Thursday 19 May 2011
Glencore International PLC is expected to announce the final pricing of the offering and shares are expected to commence dealings on the LSE on a "when issued" basis, becoming unconditional on Tuesday 24 May 2011.
Friday 20 May 2011 (after market close)
FTSE will issue a notice detailing all changes pending the inclusion of Glencore International PLC on 25 May 2011 as a fast entry to FTSE indices. The notice will include confirmation of Glencore’s initial number of shares and free float weighting to be included in the index and confirmation of the lowest ranking FTSE 100 constituent selected for removal from the FTSE 100 (based on prices as at close).
Wednesday 25 May 2011 (ie. applied at close Tuesday 24 May)
Glencore International PLC is added and all index changes as detailed in the 20 May 2011 notice become effective.
Glencore's ICB Classification will be 1775 (General Mining).
