FTSE GLOBAL EQUITY INDEX SERIES FAST ENTRY AND FAST EXIT LEVELS

FTSE announces that in accordance with Ground Rule 6.9, 23 stocks have fallen below the Fast Exit Level for two consecutive quarters and will therefore be deleted from the FTSE Global Index Series after close of business on Friday, 16 September 2011. (i.e. Monday, 19 September 2011).

Notes:

1) Use of fast Entry Levels:

Other than for use at the regional reviews, Fast Entry Levels are used for determining the eligibility of fast entrants to the FTSE Global Index Series at a company's initial listing (IPO) and at the quarterly review subsequent to initial listing.

2) Use of Fast Exit Levels:

Other than for use at the regional reviews, Fast Exit Levels are used for determining the eligibility of constituents following demergers (spin-offs) and at quarterly reviews.
