FTSE/Xinhua Index Limited (FXI) was established in late 2000. It is a Hong Kong incorporated joint venture between global index provider - FTSE Group and Xinhua Finance, combining FTSE’s internationally renowned indexing expertise with Xinhua’s local Chinese market knowledge and data capabilities. The company was created to facilitate the development of financial indices for the Chinese market, providing combined coverage of the Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong exchanges. All of the FTSE Xinhua indices are designed according to internationally proven index methodology to ensure products are transparent, clear and consistent.
